Thomas Sholes

Thomas Sholes is the Head of Global Strategy and a member of the Executive Committee for BNY Mellon | Pershing.

Tom is responsible for strategy formulation and articulation, market and competitive analysis, business intelligence, corporate development and strategic partnerships. Previously, he led the firm’s technology priorities committee, the product management organization, and the managed account and data management businesses.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon | Pershing, Tom was an executive vice president and senior managing director for PNC Global Investment Servicing in charge of the financial advisor services division, which was comprised of managed account services, data management and analytics solutions businesses. Tom was also the head of its strategic planning, corporate development and product management activities, and a member of PNC Financial’s Operating Committee.

Tom is a past member of the Board of Governors of the Money Management Institute and is currently a member of the Outthinker Strategy Network of Chief Strategy officers.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
