JERSEY CITY, N.J.— BNY Mellon’s Pershing was named “Best Prime Broker—Innovation” by HFM at the 2017 U.S. Hedge Fund Services Awards last week. This is the seventh time HFM has recognized Pershing’s prime services unit with an award, and the fourth consecutive year as the industry's most innovative prime broker.
The annual HFM U.S. Hedge Fund Services Awards recognize leading hedge fund service providers for customer service, product innovation and exceptional growth. The award for “Best Prime Broker—Innovation” honors the firm which has best demonstrated excellence in enhancing their offering through improvements to core services or the launch of new services that improve operational or asset raising conditions for clients. A panel of independent judges assessed entrants based on innovation, level of client service, business growth, and client feedback.
“The hedge fund industry continues to evolve rapidly. Managers are seeking to meet shifting client demands while differentiating themselves in a highly competitive active management landscape,” says Mark Aldoroty, managing director and head of Pershing’s Prime Services. “HFM’s recognition of us as a leader within the industry underscores our commitment to continually enhance our services to help our clients achieve success in this challenging industry environment.”
To help clients grow their businesses and navigate today’s industry landscape, Pershing strives to deliver unmatched client service by seeking to be an extension of clients’ teams. While changes to the regulatory framework have significantly impacted the overall prime brokerage industry, Pershing’s financial strength and ability to be a single source of comprehensive, client-focused global solutions has enabled the firm to continue to attract new clients and deepen relationships with existing ones.
Pershing continues to develop a comprehensive toolset to help its clients address a broad range of operational and strategic challenges. Highlights of Pershing’s offering include:
