Industry-leading tool meets growing demand for mobility from advisors
JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Pershing LLC, a BNY Mellon company, announces today the launch of the latest addition to its growing family of mobile solutions – the Retirement Essentials mobile website. This industry-leading tool allows advisors to explore, compare and select the appropriate retirement vehicle for their clients—all from their preferred mobile device or tablet.
The site helps users to efficiently research different kinds of individual retirement accounts (IRAs), such as traditional, Roth and rollover IRAs, as well as small business employer plans. Advisors can compare the different types of retirement tools side-by-side and use the site’s decision engine to help select the most effective option for a client.
Advisors helped Pershing develop this tool, which is designed specifically to meet their demand for mobile solutions. This increased demand was recently illustrated by a study from American Century Investments, which reported that twice as many advisors used mobile devices in 2012 compared to 2011. Because the Retirement Essentials tool is web-based, it can be accessed via most tablet or smartphone platforms. The mobile website has also been submitted for FINRA review so that it may be used interactively with clients.
"Pershing has always been a leader in delivering mobile capabilities and we are delighted to expand our mobile-based solutions with this actionable tool that presents great advantages to advisors consulting retirement-focused clients," said Robert Cirrotti, director of retirement solutions at Pershing. "Tablets and smartphones have become ubiquitous in the financial industry and we are proud to be at the forefront of meeting this growing trend while helping customers discover the best retirement tool for their clients."
