Claire Santaniello is a Managing Director for Pershing, a BNY Mellon company. Claire serves as Head of Operations and leads Pershing’s Client Service Delivery, Prime Services and Trading Services groups in the U.S. She previously served as Chief Compliance Officer (2003-2012), Global Head of Compliance (2005-2012), Chief Administrative Officer (2012-2017) and Chief Risk Officer (2015-2017).
Claire is a member of Pershing’s Executive Committee and BNY Mellon’s Senior Leadership Team. Claire is also a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Membership Committee. She is a former member of FINRA National Adjudicatory Council (NAC), former chair and current member of the FINRA Statutory Disqualification Committee of the NAC, former member of FINRA Market Regulation Committee and previously served as co-chair of the Securities Industry Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Compliance and Regulatory Policy Committee.
In addition to her industry work, Claire serves on the Board of Trustees for NJ SEEDS, a non-profit organization that changes the lives of motivated, high-achieving students from low-income families by transforming their educational opportunities.
Claire earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Muhlenberg College. She also completed the Securities Industry Institute® program, sponsored by SIFMA, at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
