Cecile Nagel

Chief Executive Officer, Pershing Limited

Cécile Nagel is the Chief Executive Officer for Pershing Limited and a member of both Pershing’s Global Executive Committee and BNY Mellon’s EMEA Executive Committee. She leads the EMEA management team to realise the business’ next phase of growth, unlocking opportunities for Pershing Limited in the UK, Channel Islands and Ireland to partner with financial institutions and provide leading custody, clearing, settlement and trading solutions to them.

Prior to joining Pershing in 2022, Cécile was Chief Executive Officer of EuroCCP. Under her leadership, EuroCCP consolidated its position as leading pan-European cash equities central counterparty, providing clearing services to 47 trading venues across Europe. In addition, Cécile led the launch of equity derivatives clearing service and oversaw EuroCCP’s acquisition by Cboe Global Markets in July 2020.

Previously, Cécile was with the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) where she held a number of senior roles across the organisation including Head of LSE Markets Global Product Development and Exchange Traded Products, Group Head of Strategic Planning and Global Head of Equities and Commodities at LCH, LSEG’s multi-asset clearinghouse. Prior to LSEG, Cécile worked at Oliver Wyman, a financial services strategy consulting firm, and the Financial Services Authority. She holds a Master’s in Management from ESCP Europe and is a CFA charter holder.
