Diversity Matters
Pershing's Diversity Matters strategy leverages our past efforts and is a key driver for business growth throughout the company. The strategy's reach extends to every associate from the Executive Committee to the nonexempt level, every business unit and discipline, and every location across the globe.
In the House*
We know that our associates are the key to our success. Our customers rely on all of us to deliver excellence in the face of constant business changes and to work collaboratively across the firm to drive superior financial solutions and results through inclusion and teamwork—in essence, to be "In the House."
"In the House" is our metaphor for actively seeking knowledge and continuous improvements to advance our business through the lens of diversity and inclusion. This initiative supports each associate's learning and development toward meeting critical business targets and is an expansion of previous diversity programs, which we will continue to host under the Diversity Matters banner.
Associates "In the House" take ownership for anticipating our customers' needs and meeting critical business targets, and we support an inclusive, team-oriented work environment to strengthen our business. They drive innovation, seek opportunities to increase our services to customers, and improve our products and processes.
Diversity Matters, including "In the House," is Pershing's actionable strategy for diversity and inclusion, and belongs to—and relies on—all associates at the firm, at all levels, in all business units, and in all locations.
To help support Diversity Matters, Pershing has an Advisory Board and Affinity Groups. The Advisory Board provides advice and direction on diversity initiatives and practices necessary to foster an inclusive work environment and maximize the potential of all associates and their contributions to meet the business objectives of the firm.
The Affinity Groups are non-profit groups of Pershing associates who voluntarily come together with the intent of helping members become more effective in the workplace and help meet Pershing corporate diversity and inclusion goals.
