John Colao is a Managing Director and a member of the Executive Committee for Pershing, a BNY Mellon company, where he is responsible for Strategic Projects. In this role, Mr. Colao is presently responsible for managing the firm’s Going Green initiatives to drive increased adoption of Pershing’s electronic delivery services.
Mr. Colao joined Pershing in 1993 and has held various leadership positions within the firm, including responsibility for Pershing’s NetExchange® suite of account management and trading platforms, mutual fund operations, managed accounts operations and retirement planning services.
Prior to joining Pershing, Mr. Colao was a Vice President for Smith Barney Shearson, where he was responsible for mutual fund operations. Mr. Colao earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Rutgers University and has also completed the Securities Industry Institute® program, sponsored by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
