John Colao is a Managing Director and a member of the Executive Committee for Pershing LLC, where he is responsible for Global Reengineering initiatives. In this role, Mr. Colao is responsible for managing reengineering and productivity initiatives across our global entities, and fostering the development and progress of global teams to drive key growth initiatives across the firm.

Mr. Colao joined Pershing in 1993 and has held various leadership positions within the firm, including responsibility for Pershing’s NetExchange^® suite of account management and trading platforms, mutual funds operations, managed accounts operations, and retirement planning services.
 
Prior to joining Pershing, Mr. Colao was a Vice President for Smith Barney Shearson, responsible for mutual fund operations. Mr. Colao earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Rutgers University and is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute^®, sponsored by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
